Assets
What are Assets?
Why do I need them?
The only asset that is required in the system is phones (https://securityrisk.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SHD/pages/678920524). These are specialised items that are required to use https://securityrisk.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SHD/pages/682983431.
Creating an Asset
Assets can only be created on the https://securityrisk.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SHD/pages/678887754.
Go to the Managerial View
Only Managers and Account Holders can access this view.
2. Select the Asset tab
Assets require an Asset Type. This can be created during the asset creation process or by creating an Asset Type as described below.
3. Click the Add button
4. Fill in the mandatory information (marked with an '*')
5. Hit the save button!
You should now see your newly created Asset in the list and be able to assign them to on-line responders and guards.
Creating an Asset Type
Go to the Managerial View
Select the Asset type tab

4. Fill in the mandatory information (marked with an '*')
Handover required will trigger confirmation dialogues where both parties will confirm they have performed the handover process.
Setting qualification required will prevent users from being assigned any assets of this type unless they have a current qualification set for the type in https://securityrisk.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SHD/pages/659587354.
5. Hit the save button!
You should now see your newly created Asset Type in the list and be able to use them to create assets.
Editing an Asset
An Asset is edited from the Asset Detail panel.
Go to the Managerial View
Open the Asset Tab
Select the Asset you wish to edit
4. Select the edit button on the detail panel
5. Change the fields you wish to update
6. Hit the save button!
Editing an Asset Type
An Asset Type is edited from the Asset Type Detail panel.
Go to the Managerial View
Open the Asset Type Tab
Select the Asset Type you wish to edit
4. Select the edit button on the detail panel
5. Change the fields you wish to update
6. Hit the save button!
Archiving
Archiving an asset type will archive all assets of that type.
Assets and Asset Types are archived on the Edit panel. Archiving assets will remove them from use. If you archive a phone the user will be logged out and be unable to use the phone for any tasks.
